LOVED HER - HATED THE ACOUSTICS AT THE LOCATION
I gave five stars to Kathleen and I give ZERO starts to the Kirby Center.
I love to hear Kathleen Madigan. Her story telling and jokes are fantastic. We drove 1 hour and 45 minutes to go and see her in Wilkes Barre. We paid good money to sit right up by the stage. Unfortunately no one checked the sound system at the Kirby Center. Her opening act sounded like he was funny but the people sitting up front couldn't understand what he was saying. You would catch a joke or 2 but that was it. Then Kathleen came on and honestly we could not hear her jokes. The sound system was horrible!. Finally about half way through the show a lady got up and spoke with someone. FINALLY we were able to hear AND understand what she was saying and we found the rest of the show to be awesome. KIRBY CENTER SOUND SYSTEM PERSON PLEASE DO A BETTER JOB!!! PEOPLE PAY LOTS OF MONEY AND TRAVEL A DISTANCE TO COME AND SEE ACTS THEY LIKE. It was really disappointing!
